I feel that Phil played too conservative on the back nine (I don't believe
that I said this, because he used to be such an aggressive player). He
admitted afterwards that "no enough birdies" hurt his chance. His mind
setting was to shoot par on the back nine. But there are some hole out there
that you can shoot birdies. Todd and Ernie did that, and that's why they
both ended up in the playoff.
Another "predictable" disapointment for Tiger. He looked like really just

and he got zero majors. now he's playing with patience, and he is winning the
masters, finished 2nd in US open, and 3rd in the British Open. clearly, he
knows what he is doing.

发帖数: 208 | 4 Agree. The back nine is just too tough in Royal Troon. I think Phil did the
right thing, to be conservative. Par-out in the back nice except 16 holes
definitely will have a great chance to win or go into playoff. But the bogey
at 13 hurt Phil a lot. Moreover, both Ernie and Todd made some lucky birdies
in the back nine.
