Get ready to see a lot more of the Dallas Cowboys on your TV screen.
The NFL flexed the Cowboys' Week 15 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to
"Sunday Night Football" from its original 1 p.m. ET time slot.
As Charean Williams of the Star Telegram notes, the move will make the
Cowboys the first team in NFL history to play four straight night games, all
of them on national television.
The Cowboys beat the Minnesota Vikings in a Thursday night game last week
and will play the New York Giants on Sunday night in Week 14. After that,
they will play the Buccaneers and then host the Detroit Lions on "Monday
Night Football" in Week 16.
There is no chance the Cowboys' Week 17 game against the Philadelphia Eagles
will be flexed into prime time, because the Cowboys will have played the
NFL's maximum of six prime-time games.
The NFL's TV ratings were low early this season but have rebounded in a big
way, in large part because of the Cowboys' immense popularity and the fact
they lead the NFC.
Clearly, the NFL and its TV partners are hoping that trend will continue. |

当年ABC提出Monday Night Football
大家都心里没底：晚上举办体育比赛 有人看嘛？？
我也是喜欢周日1PM的比赛
NFL只是生活的一部分 打完了还留半天让别人做别的事情 最好

得是个调剂。

夏天，夜场体育比赛是有独特的气氛的。散场之后还可以在外面high很久

以前看过分析 NFL的兴起和流行 是因为
-- not fantasy, not gambling, not cheerleaders! --
它宏观和微观上很好的配合了电视转播
宏观上 它始于暑期过后 大家已经外出旅游回来了
赛季中的两个节日 都是家庭团聚的性质
然后高潮结尾在二月初 正是最寒冷 得窝在家里的时候
微观上 一个星期就一场 就三个小时 再多也没有了
而且是在周末 正好配合需要养家糊口的中年男人的日程表
再凶悍的河东狮子 也很难不答应 ... 除了某人家的
(所以狗代二最近提出来的什么一年十八场 七个队出线
就是不鼓励观众每周不拉的看比赛 适得其反)
