b*****s 发帖数: 1674 | 1 Dallas Cowboys fans were understandably outraged over the controversial
overturned call that went against them during the team’s Jan. 11 divisional
playoff game against the Green Bay Packers a few weeks ago.
Some clearly are unwilling to let it go, as a report indicates one irate
Cowboys fan has filed an absurdly pricey lawsuit against the NFL in light of
the disappointing outcome of the game, seeking nearly $89 billion in
damages, according to WFAA-8 in Dallas.
Terry Hendrix, currently an inmate incarcerated at Fremont Correctional
Facility in Cañon City, Colo., says in his handwritten lawsuit filed
Wednesday that he is serving as counsel for “Dez Bryant, all Dallas Cowboys
fans and all people in or from the sovereign republic of Texas.”
He is seeking the approximately $89 billion in damages in compensation for,
but not limited to, "negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and also reckless
disregard.”
The specificity of the amount Hendrix is seeking is what makes his lawsuit
so compelling. The disgruntled Cowboys fan is asking for a monetary award of
$88,987,654,321.88. The two 88s presumably are in tribute to Bryant’s
jersey number while the remaining numbers between the 88s simply are a
countdown of digits from nine to one in backwards order. A nice touch,
indeed.
Hendrix writes in his filing that the video review and subsequent reversal
constitutes “fraud” involving gross negligence” that caused “true injury
” to the Cowboys.
“Dean Blandino, Gene Steratore, and Roger Goodell are wrong and have stolen
a victory from the plaintiffs,” Hendrix writes. “The Cowboys’ offensive
line would have perfectly created an ‘Autobahn’ for DeMarco Murray to
drive into the endzone for the score and victory.” | s*****o 发帖数: 22187 | |
