The Giants will open their 2014 season in prime time – one of five prime-
time games they’ll play this season, despite their miserable, 7-9 finish
last year.
The schedule, which was revealed by WFAN on Wednesday afternoon, opens with
a Monday night game in Detroit and includes another Monday nighter (vs.
Indianapolis on Nov. 3), a Thursday nighter (at Washington on Sept. 25) and
two Sunday nighters (at Philadelphia on Oct. 12 and vs. Dallas on Nov. 23).
It also features a killer three-game stretch coming off of the Oct. 26 bye,
which pits the Giants at home against the Indianapolis Colts, at the Super
Bowl champion Seahawks, and home against the San Francisco 49ers.
Here is the full schedule, according to WFAN. Times weren’t listed for the
non-prime-time games. Beginning in Week 5, all Sunday games can now be “
flexed” to any time on Sunday (including Sunday night) anyway. The Daily
News was able to confirm that the Giants will indeed open in Detroit, but
could not immediately confirm the rest of the schedule.
The NFL plans to release the full schedule to the media and public tonight
at 8 p.m.
