I’m inclined the opinions are based on a “last man standing” line of
reasoning. A matchup with the Lions is the last unknown after the Seahawks
dominated the Saints on Monday Night Football. The 49ers already have a loss
in Seattle and the Seahawks started the season with a road win over the
Panthers.
The Lions get criticized for being an up and down team. This talk about the
Lions being a threat to take out the Seahawks in Seattle just shows that
popular opinions are just as volatile. Let’s pump the brakes just a bit and
worry about winning the NFC North. |

a reason Seattle fans rooting for the lions.
At this moment, I don't think anyone can stop the Seahawks at home. Of
course, everyone has a shot at it any given Sunday, which is why you play
the game. However, I don't think the team with the best shot at it is the
Lions. Seattle has shown they can shut down top receivers. Last season
Megatron was essentially shut down with Sherman on him, receiving just 3
catches for minimal yardage. I would have said Reggie Bush was an issue out
of the backfield until the Seahawks handled all the Saints' RBs.
I think the only way you can beat the Hawks is with a stout defense and a
bruising running game. And that just isnt the Lions. |

think one reason is that these two teams are not a lock to the playoffs like
the lions.
Anyways, based on the actual performance, the team with best shot to beat
the Seahawks in Seattle, is Buccaneers.
