such a domination. The performance of a corner also largely depends on the
overall defense of your team, particularly front sevens, i.e. how much
pressure your front sevens can put on the opposing qb and how well your front
sevens can stop running.
The closest shutdown corner I can think is Mel Blount in the steelers of 1970s
, which might have the best front sevens in the history of NFL. Mel's

have a very talented team except QB position and ravens at least should be
playoff contender.
But in two consecutive years (this year and last year), ur head coach said
ravens are a superbowl contender even before the season starts. I rarely see
any coaches who have such kind of claim before the season starts.
Will he get fired if he can not turn this team around in this season, i mean,
if ravens finish behind browns?

Bobby Taylor, Lito Sheppard and Sheldon Brown are good. But they
are not top corners. These guys benefitted a lot from Jim Jonshon's
blitz schemes. They do not have to do a lot to contain the WRs,
because the opposite QB does not have time to make good passes.
Last week Cowgirls used max protection through the game. Eagles
could not sack Bledsoe even if they were playing flag football.
That was why Sheppard and Brown got exposed.
