in coach barry alvarez words, "I never had the team I thought (before the
season) I would be coaching". the shoe store scandal - though the badgers
only had themselves to blame - realy caught the badgers. after barely
escaping the first three games, they lost to nu at home. if cb jamar fletcher
had been able to play, their pass defense would have been much better.
