west coast offense always generates high comp/att,
with short passes, look at Steve Young's number,
always 60% completion.
but most of his pass within 10 yards,

Run after catch means the receiver is open when catching the ball, that is good throw for QB
Suppose yd/pass is 5, comp/att is 2/3, that is enought for first down(sorry, it is an ideal situation)

记得一个著名的play,49ers vs cowboys,好象是95,96年两队独霸的时候。
当时steve young有伤，49ers上的是候补QB
球在49ers的15码，
jerry rice跑一个slang pattern,边上往中间插，
球传过去，不过8 yard pass,
但是他顺势越过了cowbays的free safety,
然后outrun everyone, 85-yr gain for td
scoreboard上是85-yr pass,
这样的play,谁的功劳大？QB or WR?
hoho,算错了。
必须是每三次attempt里面，都要两次completion.
比如从本方20码处开始进攻，
连续7个completed pass, 5 yards/pass,
followed by 2 imcompletion.
comp/att percentage是7/9,
结果却是punt...

最后一次进攻才能充分体现QB的素质。
因为nothing to lose,
所以没有多余的顾虑，可以冒险出手，
而且没有huddle,
完全是QB的即兴发挥。
