went to bass fishing.
It was cold out there. We had some wind and rain yesterday, and the
temperature has plummeted. This a post front condition.
Fishing is slow as expected. Walking and casting, no bite here, no bite
there. No bait fish on the shallow. Bass are on holiday too ?
Could they be in the deep water ? Cast as far as I could, but still nothing.
While waiting for my lure to get down to bottom after a long cast, I saw a
large shadow moving along the bank. It was actually swimming towards me!
Instead of waiting for the lure to get down, I immediately started to swim
it towards the bank and let it drop right in front of the fish. The bass
swam towards the lure, nose at it, stare at it... Kept the lure still, but
the fish did not want it, and started to turn its head away. One little
shake of the line, the lure moved just one inch. The fish immediately turned
and inhaled it. Got it!
Caught a few more later, largest is 4 lb. Today the fish seemed very
scattered. One here, one there. Need to cover a lot of water to locate them.
Took a few photos, but I am too lazy to post any of them. :-) | s***e
