Education Hill Learning Center, a newly opened bilingual
(English/Chinese), Licensed daycare, now has multiple opening.
At Education Hill Learning Center we advocate the key to long-term
educational success is making sure children get the best start possible.
We emphasize the importance of the early childhood education through
play. We focus on not only academics and physical skills development but
also social, emotional and spiritual growth. We combine eastern
philosophy and Montessori education to instill in each child morals,
values, courtesy, self-esteem and self determination through positive
reinforcement.
Since 1992, I started to work at the Kindergarten of Huazhong University
of Science and Technology (HUST), which is a model kindergarten in
Wuhan. I worked at the kindergarten for 9 years and realized how much I
love kids around me. In August 2000, I joined my husband at Canada.
Since 2002, I worked in a Montessori school and YMCA for 6 years. At the
same time, I was studying at CDI College and got the highest level
certificate of Early Childhood Education. In February 2008, I had to
quit my job in YMCA and joined my husband at Redmond. Since April 2009,
I started to work La Petite academy in Redmond as a lead teacher. In
November 2010, I quitted from La Petite academy and started Education
Hill Learning Center.
Education Hill Learning Center provides full-time and part-time caring
for children ages 4 months to 12 years. Based on developmental theories
and child-centered methodologies, we offer children a play-based program
which focuses on the emotional and social development and which promotes
their physical, cognitive, creative growth. Programs include activities
to enhance the children's interests in:
• Language
• Music and movement
• Math
• Sciences
• Drawing
• Creative and dramatic arts
• Introduction to other Languages and cultures

She enjoys everyday and makes good friends there. I think three things make
Education hill learning center a special place for young children. First,
teachers teach different and appropriate materials to kids based on their
ages and abilities. For example, my daughter is good at learning new words
and counting numbers. The teachers realized that and taught her a lot of
words. By the age of 3, my daughter can read about 80 Chinese words, and can
count 1-20 in English, Chinese and Spanish. Second, they encourage students
to explore different cultures and learn different languages. Third, unlike
some other daycare owners, the owner Janet doesn't treat the daycare as a "
business". She cook meals and feed kids with healthy materials, like organic
milk, all-nature/range-free meat, low-sugar snacks... |
