我有一个AHA的 career development的grant SDG， 希望从现在的学校转到新的学校，
但是新的学校还没完全谈好position。因为家庭原因，我希望尽早过去。
转这个grant必须要求对方提供一个faculty position，我以前的title是research
scientist，在以前的学校也算是faculty position。新的学校系主任说最简单的是
visiting faculty position，我对这种title完全不了解，请教visiting faculty对转
grant 够了吗？ 我问AHA，他们说faculty position就可以，但是不知道这种visiting
的算不算。

灵活的，担心时间不够
用，到时 用 no cost extension好了，钱反正都是你的

secured after the grant is finished.
Usually if only for the purpose of transferring a grant, the title is not
big deal. Most places will be willing to give a title for you get the grant
so that they can get the indirect cost.
But the key problem is when the grant is finished, will the school provide
necessary support to your "friend" for a reasonable period time. This varies
from places and places. The title you mentioned seems to be a temporary
position, and your friend may be in trouble when the grant expires.
Since your friend has demonstrated the ability to obtain external funding,
why not ask him/her to negotiate for a more secure position? As you
described, however, if the school knows that s/he has to come due to family
reasons, then your friend may be in a disadvantage position in the
negotiation. |
