the value of publishing on arxiv is. Can I send this paper again to ordinary
journals and get published without issues? Also, for those who do arxiv
frequently, please let me know your experience: what is people's reaction to
a paper already published on arxiv? Does it really help you secure an idea?

有些杂志不愿意接受已经放到 arxiv 的文章，比如 Nature。物理
杂志一般不太在乎这个，放到 arxiv 的文章只是优先权的问题，不代表
正式发表。 |

如果不是名人，别人看到了装没看到你也没办法。

但是有的时候
也可能什么人看到了
做出了比你的文章更好的结果
然后你的文章可能就没用了

nature editor不止一次澄清过这个问题了
很多实验组不放arxiv都是有别的原因，nature本身没这要求
Contributions being prepared for or submitted to a Nature journal can be
posted on recognized preprint servers (such as ArXiv or Nature Precedings),
and on collaborative websites such as wikis or the author's blog.

embargo policy。 你先发出来， 还没接受，当然新闻价值
就低了。

如果不发在arxiv，别人不太好引用你。 |

改得過來就投雜誌，改不過來也無所謂。很多不要臉的人這麼幹

if several groups are coming to a similar conclusion at the approximately
the same speed. One group submitted to a formal journal. another group
submitted the work to arxiv, and then to a journal. Who will people give
credit to? |

个编辑说不会有特别处理（歧视），但确实很含蓄地表示不鼓励先放，当然，也可能现
在这种不鼓励也被去掉了，毕竟09年是比较久远之前的事情了
