Just got the priority score 46 for one R43. I guess they might fund those
scored 33 or less in R43/44.
Some questions:
Do R43 study sections discuss all the proposals they receive?
How to further improve the proposal? Adding more preliminary data? Changing/
adding more supportive collaborators? Getting some data published in the
journals?
How to address "risk management and mitigation" in the proposal? How much
the study sections weigh this "risk management and mitigation" in the final
score?

Wait for your summary statement and call your PO. Whether you will get
funded or not depends on your institution.
