The Department of Pharmacology and Pharmaceutical Sciences is actively
seeking candidates for tenure track faculty positions at all levels. We seek
outstanding individuals to develop and conduct innovative basic and/or
translational research in areas of including but not limited to 1)
quantitative molecular and systems pharmacology, pharmacogenomics, drug
development sciences, and therapeutic engineering; 2) developing enabling
technologies for target identification and validation, disease modeling,
functional genomics, imaging, computational modeling and informatics, design
and engineering of genome/proteins/cells/tissues, formulation and delivery;
3) understanding and targeting diseases such as cancer, neurological
disease, cardiovascular and metabolic disease, and immune disorder.
The department focuses on cutting-edge research and education in
pharmaceutical sciences, and strives to integrate basic and translational
research disciplines. It currently has 14 independent principal
investigators conducting mutli-disciplinary research and is establishing a
state-of-the-art drug discovery center.

Candidates are expected to hold a Ph.D. degree, or equivalent, and to have
demonstrated significant potential in their fields. The successful
candidates will be expected to establish a dynamic research program and
excel at teaching in both undergraduate and graduate courses. Applicants
