1)面试职位：AP,两个TT,一个research AP.两个职位在排名前六的医学院(Wust).第三
个是UT 系统。均通过几转电话面试，然后on site.
2) tenure 年限：Wustl要七年才能评tenure, UT 要九年。WUST 至少两个R01,UT也差
不多，文章重质量和影响力，不数篇数。
3）salary:tenure前20%硬钱，之后全软钱
4）teaching:根本不要求，每年一门课
其中一个让我再visite,
受不了，就不移动了，在现地方待着等秋季tenure,压力小多了。
搞不懂，医学院tenure 意味什么呢？

发帖数: 28562 | 2 那种排名特别靠前的医学院都差不多是这样的。他们觉得你只要足够牛，肯定可以拿到
足够的grant 来付你的工资。如果拿不到grant，那么说明你不够牛，正好让你自行告
退而不需要他们来亲自催你走人。

发帖数: 2041 | 4 Not really, all R1 research institutes are about the same. Most reviewers
will rate 1 or 2 on environment on your R01 grant anyway as long as you are
from a major state institution (i.e. medical school). I will never consider
moving to a softer money institute because of ranking. I want 100% hard
after tenure, even with less pay.

？ 好像有的系tenure后，hard money多一些。

moved from biochem to medical school just for this reason.
My impression (from two public schools) is that the salary for a biology
department first year AP is about 70k, but for AP in medical school is
usually 100k. I could be wrong … if anyone knows better, this is a good
forum.

发帖数: 841 | 8 想象一下100% soft money支持>100K+benefits. 基本上一个R01就没了。何况很多人的
工资超过NIH的cap。所以医学院里funding压力也很大，没两个R01很难生存。

暖。前两天开年会碰到一工学院的朋友，聊起来MITBBS发考题版的月经贴。没想到我朋
