publication差不多，4年phd＋2年postdoc 和 6年phd 相比那个申请教职比较有优势呢？
我知道bioe的同学们几乎使必须做postdoc，可是我看到EE系的新faculty很多都没有
postdoc经验。EE是不是比较喜欢新毕业的学生呢？ |

phd. Just curious, why you want to graduate in 6 years if you can wrap it up
in 4?

发帖数: 34 | 4 谢谢，我总觉得自己现在还没准备好，没写过grant也没teaching（TA）的经验。
而且我现在只有3篇paper（两篇一座，一篇二座），虽然都是nature sub和PNAS这种，
可是数量太少。
所以才想postdoc两年，再沿着原来的文章发几篇小的。

pls don’t try PD training just go to try tenure tracking, otherwise just
to any one of above Top 4 BioE lab for your PD training.

也没bioe的背景

发帖数: 5204 | 7 ee and applied physics, one ask, seven years or one decade later, is there
still enough tenured position within States? if LZ your final target is
chair professorship.
On the other hand, if you want to go to dot com after your PD training, just
from you want to get your permanent residency in States, then try to do 4Ys
PhD+ 2 Ys PD,
of course, you can go to dot com directly just after your 4Ys PhD training
if that farm can support your EB1B or similar soon.
