Description
The U.S. GAAP Technical Accounting EditorAuthor will perform a critical role
in the successful creation of content for a series of online treatises on
critical accounting subjects that will establish Client as the market leader
in GAAP online information and work tools. The EditorAuthor will provide
the professional insight and expertise necessary to design a cutting-edge
customer-oriented product, author market-leading analysis and guidance,
including industry-specific guidance, and provide expert, rapid response to
significant developments in accounting standard-setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Author concise, comprehensive plain English restatements and explanations
of the standards being addressed in each of the products
2. Create and integrate special elements including Viewpoints, Cautions,
Examples and Illustrations that provide actionable expert insight and
opinion for sophisticated users within explanatory material
3. Write concise analysis of emerging developments in GAAP standard-setting,
in particular developments related to the joint projects between the FASB
and the IASB
4. Coordinate work with existing teams working on related products.

QUALIFICATIONS:
5-7 years experience in the accounting field; technical writing on
accounting standards is a plus
Knowledge of standard-setting process of FASB, IASB, and SEC. A good
understanding of the FASB/IASB joint projects is a requirement
Strong accounting standard research skills
Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA
Ability to work well under pressure and under short deadlines, while
maintaining attention to detail
Excellent writing skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to work collaboratively
within a team environment
Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects. | b***a
