reference letters need to be received by the deadline to be considered as a
complete application.
Ask your references directly, or contact the department contact on the
hiring ad, to check the status of your reference letters.

发帖数: 28562 | 10 在我的亲身经验里，很多学校是dealine一个月就开始看材料了。
尤其对于英国的学校，很多是广告一开始，每次收集到一定数目的申请者就会
立刻收集过去给committee 看，然后选出short list 最后才选面试者。
如果你等到deadline 才交，那么你一定是最后一批人，能不能拿到面试就
听天由命吧。
至于说Deadline 有什么用？人家觉得有用就有用，觉得没用就没用。
反正我知道有人是deadline 后才交最后也拿到了位置的，也有很多地方
是deadline 还没到就开始面试了。
