发帖数: 270 | 5 NSF does NOT allow "letter of recommendation", but accept " letter of
collaboration".
Apparently, your letter sounds more like a "letter of recommendation" than a
"letter of collaboration", and it SHOULD be withdrawn. If you do not
withdraw it, I would guess your proposal may be rejected without review.

from a collaboration letter with a funded grant. I will perhaps withdraw it
, but this is definately a warn to other young faculty here - be careful
with your collaboration letter. |

, I don't think the letter carries that much weight anyway. so, your
proposal won't be ruined by this.

collaborator in project description - you are not allowed to revise anything

不过话说写这个信的确要很注意，我们RESEARCH OFFICE的人再三强调不要写成推荐信
，一定要有详细的合作方的实力情况（实验设备，理论背景）和具体合作事项（研究合
作项目，定期交流，交换学生，共同写文章申请专利等等），双方如何雪中送炭一拍即
合水乳交融如胶似漆干柴烈火。
说到底，就是要证明你跟合作者是恋人的关系，而不是证明你是个好人。是情书，不是
好人卡。

发帖数: 1359 | 16 今天我也中招了。PM让我把所有collaboration letter改短，除了具体要合做什么以外
，就连介绍合作人背景和实验条件的话也不能说。改短了以后，合作信也就成了个橡皮
图章了。好在我在proposal正文里简略介绍了一下合作人。 |

the collaboration letter is a formality, reviewers won't spend time reading
them anyway. |
