发帖数: 201 | 1 问一下。我自己现在就要毕业，这个学期在独立教一门课（第二次独立教课）。一周
meet两天。领着40
个小本们做活动学东西，觉得很enjoy，很满足。上周最后一次课做evaluation，觉得
很舍不得他
们，下课也有很多学生真心表示感谢，还有几个很emotional的告别的。因为原来没有
想过自己是不是
真的喜欢teaching（毕竟是外国人英语不如美国老师好），这学期似乎证明就是真心
enjoy而且教的
还不错的。
秋天就要去做teaching的AP了。不知道课一下子变多了，学生质量变差了，没有时间做
自己的研究了
会不会还会这么enjoy teaching。
版上的前辈们说说，会不会/或者多久会worn out？ |

teaching是快速能收到feedback看到成果的事，比research写成paper发出去快多了！

如果是自己不太喜欢的subject area呢？当然是自己专业内但不是自己的方向的。

其实低年级的1101之类的也不错，比较general，好讲，考试也都是多选，不用grade
paper，呵呵

i like research and publishing too, in addition to teaching. but research
and publishing takes such a long time to see the final product, it can get
discouraging along the way.

bring instant-gratification, it is taking time away from research, grant
and papers, which are the most important things for the tenure promotion.
I didn't like it either, especially when I had to teach things that I didn't
know much about. Preparing for such lectures became very stressful. Two-
hour lectures can seem very, very long, especially when I feel the students
have no clue what I am talking about. Neither the students or I want to be
in the classroom. Such a feeling is really self-defeating.
Lately, as I am getting closer to getting tenure, I feel better about
teaching, as my overall stress level goes down. I realize teaching is a good
service for the students, and I actually can learn a lot by teaching. |

1。整天做research 需要一个 break，教着一门课可以调剂调剂心情。
2。从课堂里选拔人才是招募 team member 重要手段。课要讲得生动，聪明的学生才会
来跟你。不然你一个 boring 的理工科 wsn，如何招可传衣钵的弟子？不要落入金轮法

我同意，如果觉得自己和学生们都不想上这个课的时候就是问题了。这时候就该换换方
法了，把自己
的兴趣也提高起来。有的时候教课也能挺减压的。。。

第二点也是对的，有过的几个很用工的RA都是上过课知根知底的。不过关于boring的理

，也增加了自己
的知识呢。
