learning progress) on a regular basis. For me, I provide each student with a
detailed grade report every month, including grade on HW, quiz, or exams,
even including class attendance/discussions. I believe it is our responsibility
to do this.
For that student who missed HW but insisted she submitted it, if LZ already
provided grade report long before the final exam or before you submitted the
final letter grade, she should have contacted you earlier. And the issue
could have been resolved much earlier, without having gone to the Dean.
Believe me, a detailed grade report for your students will help you a lot;
and your students will very much appreciate you doing this. | h*****t

have access to their scores immediately after the homework/exams are
graded.
Timely feedback is good but useless for those who give trouble at the
end of the semester or after the final grades are given.

assignments. In class, I told students that grades are posted already and
they should contact me if they found any mistakes. | c******a
