This is exactly why it makes so much economic sense to hire adjunct. A full
-time faculty cost ~ 70-120K a year, who, in many cases (especially science
& engineering) only teaches 2-3 courses per years. This means only 3
adjuncts will be sufficient to "replace" him, teaching wise, costing only $
15K. |
