I asked a similar question a little while ago. I applied for 13 jobs in my
husband's university with no results,
recently I applied for the non-tenure track job at my husband's univ and
still waiting for feedback (we are
giving it up for his place). We are also trying to apply other universities,
meanwhile I started to look for
company jobs, and looks like I will get on-site interviews soon in two large
pharma.
My question is, if we decided that I take the pharm. company job and he
relocates with me, while both wait for
the chances to be interviewed by universities, will this experience hurt my
chance? And will the fact that my
husband had half a year of "empty period" hurt his chance?

plus for faculty application. For bio, you have much less chance to come
back to academia. | l********s

send out my faculty job applications
before I take the company jobs. So you think this will hurt my chance?
