the stupid university in this stupid city where my husband works never gave
me any position (I applied for 13
jobs in this place with no industry jobs at all), and only recently there is
a non-tenure track opening.
I am applying for this non-tenure track, meanwhile we both are preparing for
jobs elsewhere for tenure-tracks.
Suppose I work in this non-tenure track job for 5 months and then get
interviewed by other universities for
tenure-track jobs, will this record hurt my chance?

I was always laughed upon because I over-fit the jobs.

话说回来, non-tenure track的经历不会影响你的申请.

had MS in statistics in addition to the
PhD.
Anyways, I handed in the non-tenure track application today, and the faculty
told me very nicely "you do know
this is a temporary job that will end July next year...." I was so beaten up
, came back to complain to my
husband, yet he was happily texting his colleague when I talked to him...
It is so hard that I want to quit the marriage and just go for jobs (two
company job interviews tomorrow). :(

几年前一个朋友就是这样帮她老公弄到一起的
还有就是你找到一个位子 跟对方商量吧你老工也带上 dual career都不容易 随遇而安
