Chinese food, Vancouver is within driving distance. Flying back to China is
also easy. Seattle area also has lots of job opportunities for spouse.

岛小，住几个月就憋得慌。
出门旅行至少是5个小时飞机，时间长，机票贵，一家四口去趟加州机票就要两千左右。
跟土著人打交道也比较头痛。

My friend was laid back when he joined UH. He is not that laid back anymore
because he needs to publish to get out of the island. :-)

told me that the housing there is quite cheap. 200K can buy a fairy large
house in a very good location. Shopping in Columbia is also very convenience
, because there are lot of Walmart supper market there.
What a nice place there!!! |

close to actions, one stop to China.
Housing is too expensive. But if you are a faculty member, you can get
subsidized housing. Big house with cheap mortgage, not inheritable, but you
can live there until you die.
The problem: only if you can get in :) |
