题。 在欧洲有没有限制外籍劳工人数以保护本国居民这一说？ 在美国每年的针对外国
人发放的工作签证只有六万五千，而且新一年的名额只有十月一号开始。 也就是说如
果我现在在美国公司找到工作，最早我可以明年十月一号去上班。 那么在欧洲有没有
类似规定？

in continental europe compared to london, of course, language barrier is a
reason, but work permit is also a major reason....
with the EU common economic thing going on, it's fairly difficult to get a
work permit.

Yes, by law, most EU country has limit (but not quota) on foreign employee,
e.g. ur employer has to prove they can not find similar people within EU.
However, in reality, most EU countries are really welcome highly-educated
people from outside. To get a EU work permit is sooooo much easier than US.
Giving examples:
Netherlands: As long as ur income higher than a threshold (33k under age 30,
47K if you above 30), you do not need a work permit, your employer can
apply for a ´kennismigrant

意思，不能permanent reside，只是工作期间可以居留，类似于H1B。

发帖数: 7639 | 12 你搞错了，resisdence permit 是指停留境内三个月以上
的签证，包括学生签证。
greencard或者permanent residence是指工作2年后可以申请
的永久居留签证。
