if I want to have decent meal, I'll have to spend about 70 swiss frances.

coworkers skip drink at lunch to save money. I feel like Switzerland is
starving. People smoke everywhere and I can even smell it on the street.

lot. If you cook, it's not that bad. And even eating out, if you just get
some sort of takeaway, it's still affordable imo. Obviously, you don't got
for a nice seat-down meal on a regular basis.
I've met a lot of nice people here. My coworkers are all wonderful and for
the 2.5 months here, I've gotten to more social events, met more friends and
had more drinks that in the past 2 years. I am really liking this place.

吃饭花钱多，可是你在交税上省下来的钱足够你吃饭了吧。同样的收入，美国交40％左
右的税的话这里交20％左右
（如果你不信天主教那些）。你在两边吃饭的差价需要你收入的20％么？呵呵。而且瑞
士比美国工资高。一个调查结
果里说瑞士人的buying power是最高的。buying power综合了收入和消费水平。
对了，也不是所有的的地方都贵。Street Parade那天几个土耳其朋友带我去一家车站
附近的土耳其餐厅吃饭，饭＋甜
点＋茶最后居然每个人才14法郎。。。

thought they would give free bags. but No, they charged me for the bag. and
I noticed other people brought in their own cloth bag and a lot of people
just buy very little, a few things and loaded on their little hand cart and
rushed to check out before 6:30 closing hour. Somehow it reminded what i saw
in my childhood. not very pleasant...

but if you ask, many grocery stores do give free bags, which are not very
durable.
