design the water, fire protection and plumbing systems for buildings.
Environmental Engineers seldom designing such systems inside a building or
facility.
Even for treatment facilities, if the company has a building/facility group,

发帖数: 125 | 4 其实我一直没搞懂国内的给排水到底包括哪些?
就我混了一年总结的经验是:
process piping belongs to civil engineers;
HVAC, drainage, serwage, fire protection belongs to Mechanical engineers,
but they're in a seperate group mainly focus on piping
Chemical piping of course belongs to Chemical engineers...
But most of the pipe sizing, pump selection, hydraulic calc and pipe routing
are done by Civil engineers. | S*****8

每次做pipe design总不可避免的跟各种engineer打交道,个人觉得对宏观和微观理解
project设计运作都很有帮助,当然,piping design can always drive you crazy...
I think you won't use any of the piping or pumping design skills as an
Environmental Engineer, but the fact that you've got involved with other
discipline of the business is definitely benificial to your future career
path as PM or doing marketing
