Projection = State Plane, Arizona Central Zone
Datum = NAD83-92(HARN)
Units = International Feet
Projection = UTM, Zone 12
Datum = NAD27
Units = Meters
I used Projection Utility in Arcview 3.2a and selected the NADCON in the
Datum Tab do it. However, the project data were off approximately 1~2 meters
. Does anybody have ideas how to do it correctly? Thanks. | m*l
发帖数: 507 | 2 很多情况下，不同来源的数据就是对不上。差一两米挺正常的。
如果这个区别是由projection带来的话，如果是简单的线性关系的话，试着调调
projection的参数就行了，什么false northing/easting了，这个就是调原点，相当于
平移。如果不是线性的话，难度很大。
象你这个datum都不同，估计非常难调。
nad83和nad27区别还是挺大的。简单的说，这两个datum所代表的地球的形状不太一样
。所以投到平面上很难是一样的。 | f**h

take shapefile projections. I have someone showed to me how to successfully
project the shapefiles in ArcGIS. Somehow, the projection utility in Arcview
3.2 (the only GIS software that our office has) does not work. We might
consider buying AutoCAD Map to the projection. | f**h

but,if you can retrieve several points' x,y from your gis file,then you can
still do a comparision.

发帖数: 978 | 8 在arcview 3.2里shapefile的projection不是on the fly的，就是如果两个文件的
projection如果不一样的话加在同一个view里是重合不到一起的，最好是加到arcmap里
查查。
选择Nadcon是对的，另外就是UTM的unit如果对的话应该会重合到一起的。好像它的
default是feet, not meter,在project时最后确定一下。
用arctoolbox的projection wizard最方便。

projected correctly.
Check your original coordinate, project it using ArcView and check the
coordinate again. If it agrees with CORPSCON, then it is done correctly. :)
ArcView 3.2 is toooooooooooooo old, although it still beats ArcGIS in terms
of performance :).

ArcView 3.2 and the current ARCGIS. I used ArcView mainly for floodplain
studies, LOMRs, and CLOMRs. What are the advantages to use ArcGIS in these
areas? Thank you.

ESRI moved to ArcGIS many years ago, there is no future for ArcView 3.x.
Because nobody will support it.
