x******a 发帖数: 97 | 1 I am thinking if I had a daughter in thefuture, should I tell her that the
world is always dominated bymen? Controlled by man, decided by man? on which
so that she would not be being sotough and against? But more tender to go
along with man or even play up to man?
I am influenced by my mother who was alwaysbeing tough in my household and
making all the decisions inside and outside, while I was not seeing her
marriage happy and she was unhappy all the time. Iwas definitely affected by
the way she manage her marriage, tending to arguewith my husband about all
the things, like who is supposed to do the housework?Who has more say on
family money? I of course like to be fair, thinking if mywork load is bigger
than yours and earn more money than you do, then you aresupposed to do more
housework which is not supposed to be assigned according togender, in china
woman is supposed to do more or even all the housework, anyonewho has more
time should do more, who like more should do more, it is not rightto
complain to each other.
Previously I assumed it is only in theunder-
developed country or region where men are regarded higher than women,
butsomeday I find out that in the world there are not a few country have
lawsdiscriminating women, such as there is a law telling woman can not apply
passportin the same way as men, which need more strict approval process,
and there isanother law telling woman can not decided her own job if her
husband think itis not in the family’s interest.
It suddenly occurs to me that I know solittle about women discrimination in
the world, there are various law in differentcountry discriminating against
women, I am really shocked by what I did notfind out earlier. It turns out
that I am even very lucky to be born in Chinabut not in india where women
could be killed by domestic violence solely due toher parents could not
afford a lot money for her marriage, because man hasabsolute say in the
household
