In order to speak English with little accent, you need corrections, from TV/
Radio, native English speakers, or Rosetta Stone.

value in trying to imitate the way they speak, unless you want to sound like

your speaking language, really the only way to do it is practice yourself.

1632 | 8 I'm not familiar with speak english like an american... it seems like a
book filled with idioms and such? I dunno, idioms should be used sparingly,
just like any other such constructs, and really doesn't constitute the bulk
of everyday conversation (nor should they!).
Read more would definitely help - just normal novels, or short stories, or
whatever is of interest to you. I think writing dairy definitely helps,
even if you had to correct it 50 times - that means your brain is engaged

| w*********y 发帖数: 7895 | 9 我一直不太理解语言的感觉,但我选了一门教英文说的课,突然明白了。
英语要说流利,其实是有几点的。一是,要确认你的基本语法没有问题。
二,要会用THOUGHT GROUP(就是适当时候PAUSE,然后产生MELODY),
三,是LINKING。如果基本语法不过关的话,这个部分会比较容易出错。
我来说个列子:
If you have a speical custom that is important to your culture, it
would be wonderful if you could leavel enough time at the end of the month
for you to come to our class and tell us about it.
THOUGHT GROUP(我自己的标记):
If you have a special custom/that is important to your culture/, it would
be wonderful/ if you could leave enough time/ at the end

Every time you think in Chinese, pinch yourself.... just kidding.
Try to do every mental task in English. For example, when you see a pretty
girl passing by, say to yourself "that's a damn hot girl". When you need to
make a choice among several options, reason in English. When you watch TV or
read magazines, be aware, very aware, if you are trying to do mental
translation. By the way, if you use an English-Chinese dictionary, or any
translation tool, stop. Use English dictionaries only.
