statue sits in front of McKeldin Library, a gift of the class of '33.
According to legend, rubbing his nose before an exam brings good luck.Legend
also has it that, if a virgin ever graduates from college Park, the bronze
statue will rise up from its pedestal during commencement and fly over the
crowd.
