clothes, jewelry, etc) and the only things that she ever thinks about is
cookware, house decorations and saving money. i am very lucky.
however, that leaves one problem to me. there is too much money and i got
nowhere to spend it :(

I do know that Shanghai girls are vainer than the average, and they think
everyone else from the rest of the world is from the countryside. They
probably picture me as a stud holding a pitch fork. hehe.

verb besides you.
so I guess "i will be shanghaied" means "i will be studnapped". (can't be
kidnapped cuz i ain't a kid no mo)

this word at my pre-interview dinner with my current employer 3 months ago.
it was a great experience that i for sure will never forget.

it reminds me that once i was chatting with a bunch of international
students from different countries, we happened to see that each country has
its own "language" to imitate the cries of animals, but not necessarily
sound simmilar for one kind of animal.
