Title: Go Game helps number sense and common core
Description of Presentation: Go game is the oldest board game in the world.
There exists a natural connection between math and the extremely simple
lines and circles in Go. Participants will learn how to play Go and
authentically experience how it can be integrated into math classrooms. From
K to 3, this single game can help number senses and CCSS, especially CC, OA
and NBT.
Objectives of Presentation: During this hand-on session, attendees will
learn how to play Go game and experience how this game can be integrated
into your math classrooms. Specifically, you will learn ways to incorporate
Go game to help students develop number sense and three domains in Common
Core standards -- Counting & Cardinality, Operations & Algebraic thinking,
Number & operations in Base Ten | L******k
