不要去申请这个职位，虽然我的major是音乐教育，但也不是对教中文一点都没有兴趣
，如果找到一份教中文的full time job, 我这么多年学的音乐也就没有用武之地了，
会觉得很可惜，毕竟我不想一辈子教中文。 但是想到这是个很好的机会很好的学校，
加上外一我当时找不到音乐老师的工作，最终我还是想在美国教音乐。不知道大家有什

发帖数: 1034 | 2 You have to think about the "highly qualified" requirement: you have to be
licensed in the field you are teaching in 1-3 years, or you're considered
not highly qualified, and they won't rehire you. Do some research and see if
your state issues license for teaching Chinese, and how. I know H1-B is not
really a problem for you anymore, so if there's a good chance for teaching
Chinese in a good district, why not consider it. | w***h

k-12, not Chinese, and my state doesn't provide Chinese teaching license.
And I don't really want to teach Chinese forever. An other thing is that if
I get a Chinese teaching job somewhere, after a year or two, I found a music
teaching opening, what can I see about the chinese teaching experience and
will they count the experience when I get a new job. | w***h
