1034 | 2 I know Kodaly too... It's worldwide. They do it in the Philippines, China...
我现在正在做一个kodaly concept in chinese music的project for my master
degree.

| l*****n 发帖数: 1034 | 4 I have many American friends who know about Chinese music and musicians.
They know Lang Lang, Tan Dun, and Yoyo Ma. One of my co-workers emailed me a
few months ago to recommend an album that "everyone should listen to once
in their life time." It's Xian Xinghai's Yellow River Concerto, rendered by
Lang Lang. The Yellow River Concerto is such a great piece of work that it
often brings me to tears.
"Sakura" is very short and "stereotypical" -its melody matches the oriental
stereotype very well in | w***h 发帖数: 1160 | 5 Lankeen, You are obsilutaly right, many chinese folk music require chinese
instrument. I remember last time I did a presentation about A bing, after I
played his "er quan ying yue"to the class, one of my classmates said :"I
cannot stand on this kind of music"
I think once I get a job, I will introduce my student those great chinese
music, yellow river piano concerto, and chorul piece. I even want to
introduce my students Beijing Opera, but honestly, most wester people don't
appreciate it. | l*****n 发帖数: 1034 | 6 Your classmate is so rude and should be ashamed of himself for being a music
student.
