找到工作，那5年算不算数？要是能算，不知道需要什么手续来证明，我以前工作的学
校已经合并两次了，眼看国家大剧院修完了，天安门附近都在拆迁，可能我们这个学校
过几年就不存在了，校长到是跟我关系不错，可是过几年也要退休了，不知道现在该做
些什么？ |

发帖数: 1034 | 2 It should. I would have the school master or principal sign a verification
of employment, and have local notary certify that (note that this might not
be recognized here in the US, but just in case). Then you can have all your
credentials evaluated by a US agency, like www.wes.org. |

about the birth and criminal verification when we came to the US? |

when I apply for the driver's liscence many years ago. Have you done your
working experience verification? |

发帖数: 1034 | 8 公证的作用可大了！如果你不公证，那么你到学校教书的时候，人家只会算你是first
year teacher，给你entry level pay。如果公证以前的正式教龄（中小学的），那么
起码可以跟人事部argue 给你升点工资。大部分校区应该都承认你以前在中国的教龄的
