research
Starting time: March 15, 2011 or sooner.
Qualification:
Education:
1. Ph.D. in statistics, economics, econometrics, operation research.
2. MS in statistics, econometrics, economics.
Statistics has the first priority.
Working experience: Research experience in statistics and/or econometrics
Responsibilities (full-time):
1. Data processing using statistics packages (SAS)
2. Data cleaning and validation
3. Data modeling using various statistical models and econometrics models
, based on SAS
4. Develop statistical and/or econometric models for the given data,
based on the instructions and requirement from our US sponsor
5. Test and validate the models
6. Work on time-critical tasks

If you are not a US citizen or PR, you need a working permission such as H1.
In case you are holding a valid F1 or J1 visa, you need to make sure that
you can start work as specified. If you are currently an F1 visa holder,
you need to make sure that you will be able to start working on or before
March 15, and you need to be specific on this issue in your cover letter,
otherwise we will not review your application. If you are a J1 visa holder,
you need to make sure that you can transfer to another academic institution.
We also encourage qualified individuals from academics outside the US to
apply for a postdoc position.
This position requires verbal and technical communications with industry
partners, therefore English proficiency is a must. Due to the need for
communicating with a team of researchers in China, Chinese proficiency is
required.
Deadline: We will screen the applications and start interviewing the
candidates in next two weeks. We can sponsor your H1 visa, or invite you as
a J1 visiting scholar. |
