Physics most. That is why you can see a lot of economists from other majors.
You know how they do economic research? I once saw one, Ping Chen, now in
Center of Chinese Economic Research(CCER), gave a seminar in Academy of
Social Sciences, using Browny movement(?, not sure how to say it in English)
to explain U.S. stock market, crazy! I just don't know if that works. The
latest seminar he gave in Peking univ. is called La | l**a 发帖数: 32 | 2
I did not say anything like economics has a lot in same with mathematics.
What I said is Ph.D. economics programs in U.S. enroll a lot of students
from other departments, especially mathematics. And you know why. That's
all.
Another physicist & economist? If yes, who?
Cool! I am not familiar with this field, so I can not go further. To be
accurate,
I should say what he did(using Brownian motion to explain U.S.stock market)
SOUNDED crazy to me. After I came to U.S., I see similar methods every n | c**g

shiya, that's the way economists work;
that's long time ago; like Liu said: at his time; life is much easier; more
opportunities. and he is comparetively better than other chinese i bet.

human behavior; i believe math and logic are closer to
economics than physics is;【 在 Leo (最受不了是骟情) 的大作中提到: 】

what about the PHDs in physics and math they hire;
