large-signal non-linear models for range of RF power transistors. Initially,
models will be GaN but may eventually include LDMOS. The candidate must be
self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision. The
candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track-record in the
successful development of non-linear models for RF power transistors (
ideally GaN) with good agreement between modeled and measured parameters.
• Electrical and thermal measurement of individual die as well as
packaged transistors in the W to kW range under a range of operating
conditions, e.g. various pulse widths/duty cycles (CW in some instances)
over the frequency range from UHF up to at least X band. These measurements
will include power, gain, efficiency, load-pull, temperature, DC and CV, S
parameters, etc.
• Advise and select suitable equipment for the above measurements.
• Develop a thermal model for Integra’s transistors using tools
such as ANSYS, SYMMIC etc.
• Develop a full non-linear model for Integra’s RF transistors (
GaN primarily) that accurately models gain, power, efficiency, pulse droop,
etc. under a variety of conditions e.g. frequency, ambient temperature,
pulse width/duty cycle, supply voltage
• Validate modeled parameters versus measured parameters.
• Code the models in AWR and Keysight software programs.
• Respond to customers’ questions regarding the models provided (
good customer interaction skills are required).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Understand, comply and support customer and ISO regulatory
requirements.
.
Requires Bachelor’s degree, with major in engineering. Ph.D. desirable,
but prior experience in duties and responsibilities outlined is required.
Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language. Ability
to understand documents such as safety rules and procedures. Work requires
professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and
willingness to work a flexible schedule.
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work location will
be El Segundo, CA or Phoenix, AZ. Generally, local, national and
international travel may require overnight travel and weekend and/or evening
work. |
