控制优化,如果数学底子好,可以做的东西太多了。几乎任何高端设计都需要优化,不
光是EE方面,CS也有很多。当然,华尔街也是个选择。
问题是一般的ENGINEERING HIRING MANAGERS ARE NOT GOOD ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND
THE VALUE OF CONTROL EXPERTISE。

That's hard to believe. Don't tell us that you've never used
optimization techniques in your design (say, how do you find
the optimal bias voltage for your amplifier?)
I actually believe control and optimization should be one
of the required basic courses for all engineering fields, not
just EE.

Interesting comment. The knowledge of applying the theory to applications
is supposedly learned in practice.
I am merely trying to encourage the original poster to seek broadly,
instead of focusing on finding a position with a "control/optimization"
hat on it.

建模搞好了,就相当于问题出好了.然后聘请个数学家来做,也不会太贵.
按NSF fast lane,解决费马定律的大数学家每年的funding也不到1百万。
还赶不上intl之类公司一天烧的.
