University of South Carolina, Columbia, SC 29208
Dr. Yan Tong is currently an assistant professor in Department of Computer
Science
and Engineering in University of South Carolina. Before joining USC, she has
been
working in Visualization and Computer Vision Lab of GE Global Research
Center
since January 2008. She has authored 20 peer-reviewed publications and 4
book
chapters.

recognition
especially on human computer interaction including but not limited to:
• Affective computing (facial activity analysis and eye gaze tracking
)
• Statistical shape modeling and their applications in face image
interpretation
and medical image analysis
• Probabilistic graphical models and their applications in computer
vision
including modeling, reasoning, information fusion, and learning under
uncertainty.
Currently, Dr. Yan Tong is looking for graduate students to attack some
