JHU 一个Radiology Department的一个教授最近发email说 想找我做medical
imaging.主要做什么emission computed tomography (ECT)， SPECT, PET, x-ray
CTimaging之类的 我都不太清楚是干什么的。
另外今天收到UIUC一教授的email 问我有没有兴趣跟他做”theory and algorithms
of Compressive Sensing in signal processing and their application to
magnetic resonance imaging“ 说假如有”common interest" 可能给我RA
我是小本一个 没有什么特别感兴趣的方向 申请时候写的interest是"image/video
processing和其他相关领域"；本来倾向去USC 那里mult |

if you wish to go to industry. so maybe usc is better, given your career
plan. |

感觉上应该就是一种数学技巧 应用在magnetic resonance imaging里面。这个field
到底情况如何呢? 我之前听很多人说biomedical image很好 就业福利只好云云 也
有不少人说很差 情况到底怎么样的呢？

发帖数: 31 | 12 Compressive sensing很新，08年3月的Signal Processing Magzine就主要讲这个的。
新的东西在工业界的应用前景不明朗，可以理解，但是不代表这个方向不好。FFT这个
东西是数学技巧吧，但是它的出现的意义可不仅仅就是一种数学技巧...
Biomedical Image也有很多方向，有Ultrasound, MRI, CT, PET之类，有关注算法本身
的，也有关注医疗器械的，也有关注医学实验的，侧重点不同，我觉得不能一概而论。

Radiology 这种东西和ECE做的imaging 有什么不同呢
另外MRI前景如何呢？

My suggestion is if your JHU offer is from Division of medical imaging
physics headed by Benjamin M. W. Tsui (Professor), do NOT go!
JHU is strong in medical imaging, but it mostly means from www.cis.jhu.edu,
not from Division of medical imaging physics. They are doing physics based
imaging stuff, not general medical imaging understanding as Center of
Imaging Science headed by. Prof. Michael Miller.

hardware and imaging procesing, while JHU CIS is doing pure medical imaging
algorithms and do not care about how these raw data are collected, is my
understanding right?
