FDD Frequency Divided Duplex
TDD Time Divided Duplex
For reverse and forward chanels
Personally I would think it is good to have a seat in the technology
board, but unless there is significant advantage in the technology,
it is onlya political game. TD-SCDMA is suitable for legacy
system to gradually evolve. However i think the cost is even more than
adopting a whole new system..
