my laptop at office.)
Things went really well and fast. Our IO just went through our I485 very
quick with basic questions, and didn't ask too much about our marriage. But
in the end, he said he needs to run another security check before he
approves our cases. But the website for him doing this is down. So we will
hear any results within 30 days.
We were a bit sad when walking out of the office. But when we were driving
back home, we got the USCIS notice on our phone and saying New Card is being
Produced for both of our cases. What a beautiful day!
Questions he asked:
1. Name, DOB, and Place of Birth.
2. When/Where your last entry in US.
3. Your position/title and job duties.
4. Your salary.
5. Your working address.
6. Number of time you married.
7. How many kids.
8. Your spouse's DOB.
9. When/where did you get married.
10. Yes/No questions. (About 10 in total he asked.)
11. He asked about DY. But mine was back in 10 years ago and it was last
year in my college. So he asked if it was mandatory. And I said yes. Then no
more questions on this one. I did have a DY statement submitted in my 485
application package though.
Documents he asked:
1. EVL
2. Tax Transcripts from last year.
3. Last 2 months of payslips.
Didn't ask for J form, I was double check with him. But he said No. And I
haven't changed my job anyway.
For my husband, he asked very similar questions but didn't ask for any
documents.

485 and 485J form approved on the same day after our interview.

which is also what I have on my 485 J form.
