Benefits of keeping H1 even when I-485 is pending for more than 180 days
have been well discussed on this board. I think that applies to H4, too.

status if working under EAD. But H4, by definition, cannot work, and H4 is
dependent of H1, as long as H1 does not lose H status, H4 should be fine.
That's my hypothesis. Not sure, though.

不能恢复原有的H4身份。
