发帖数: 1430 | 4 It takes time (months) for them to schedule an interview for you. My
understanding is that an immigrant visa interview is scheduled by the US
Consulate General in Guangzhou on its own.
Also, it takes several months to process your I-824 to change from AOS to
consular processing.

processing. The current processing time at NSC is Sep 15, 2011.
Even for consular processing, the officer still needs to request visa first,
but there is no visa for EB2-IC right now.

发帖数: 1430 | 7 Once you convert to consular processing, you will no longer have I-485.
Whether you will get a green card almost entirely depends on whether you can
pass the interview for an immigrant visa.
