"USCIS has recently been erroneously issuing requests for evidence asking
for birth certificates for pending green card applications. It is unclear at
this time why this is occurring. They are not challenging the type of birth
certificates submitted as the remand only indicates that the birth
certificates be submitted. When the government is not accepting the birth
certificates submitted, their remands clearly state that they do not agree
that the version included is an acceptable document."
