本来想找办perm的律师办的，但是他发过来的info sheet上好几个错误，连交给uscis
的申请费都搞错了。要是自己不做点功课完全靠他们最后还不得被打回来？律师费也算
是行内较高的，真是让人不放心。 |

水平高的律师和水平差的律师，千差万别。But what's the probability that you'll
actually be able to land a good attorney? And what's the probability that
the so-called "good attorney" is indeed a good one?
同一律师，心情好和心情差的时候，办事效果大不相同。What's the probability
that the "good attorney" you landed will happen to be in good mood when
working on your case?
同一律师，心情也不错，手下的paralegal，the person who actually takes care of
your case，水平好和水平差也会给您大不相同的感受。What's the probability
that your "good attorney", who's in good mood to work on your case, actually
has good hands to assist him/her processing your case?
这么多人抱怨律师，恐怕多数不是空穴来风吧。口碑和旧车行有一拼。我有几位律师朋
友，私下里其实人品都不错，也不是诚心不想干漂亮事，但律师关心的和client关心的
事情真是太不一样了。你和你的律师能同时在你的事情上猴急猴急的概率实在是太小了

可是他们要的价格也不低啊。填几张485的表就要小2000，算下来hourly rate直逼
corporate-law啊，在这个价位上也没有几个靠谱点的么？

以前倒是出过错，assistant居然连地址都写错，后来好像fire了。当时appeal回来了

发帖数: 276 | 7 是公司指定（或者说是建议？）的律师，公司事务都是他处理的。我们办绿卡基本也都
建议找他，他熟悉我们公司情况而已

DIY saves money but you will have to read all instructions and understand
them so your case; file out all forms; prepare all docs (you do this anyway)
; write cover letters (485 and 131); and bind and mail them.
If you are capable of doing above and your case is vanilla, then DIY is
recommended. Otherwise, pay someone to get it done. |
