"A "follow to join" spouse is one who is already married to a foreign
national adjusting status in the U.S., and will processs for the green card
through the U.S. consular post in their home country and then come over to
join their spouse here. "
As long as you are married before you get your green card, your spouse can
come to US at any time and file for 485 with your PD, even after your green
card is approved. Is that answer satisfy you?
She would need valid visa to enter US if you choose this way. She could be
denied of B-2 visa for 移民倾向, if she have H-1 or H-4 visa, then it is
fine.
It is ideal to describe your visa and her status for better suggestion.

Yes.
I don't know about that. Likely.
It sounds like your spouse is not in a hurry to come to US. Then apply
follow-to-join. Otherwise, apply H4 and come here to submit 485, I don't
think your green card can be approved any time soon unless you submit your
485 on 2007. After he submit 485 and get AP (should be in 2 months), then
he can go back to China. In fact, I believe for H4, he doesn't need AP to
go back to China. See below:
"Generally, adjustment of status applicants must obtain Advance Parole (Form
I -131, Application for Travel Document) from USCIS prior to leaving the
United States or else their applications are deemed abandoned. H-1 and L-1
nonimmigrants (and their H-4 or L-2 dependents) are now exempt from this
requirement. Previously, they were required to present a receipt for their
adjustment application at the time of readmission to the United States
following foreign travel. This final rule eliminates the unnecessary burden
of presenting this receipt since the application information in the receipt
is in USCIS databases available to immigration inspectors and adjudicators."
